January 2025
Are you looking to live more sustainably? We’ll post some easy ways to help you do it.
The beginning of a new year is often a time for looking backwards and forwards.
Working towards ‘zero waste’ is a journey of many steps, often very small ones
Working towards ‘zero waste’ is a journey of many steps, often very small ones. One of the biggest steps is actually a journey of the imagination…
What might it actually look like in a fossil-free world?
It won’t happen all at once, of course; it will mostly be gradual. But what if going fossil-free isn’t the huge negative impact on our lives that the media tells us?
What if the overall impact is overwhelmingly positive? What might it look like?
Cleaner air, waterways we could swim in?
Growing most of our veggies in the area around York?
Having so many more trees, and biodiversity starting to bounce back?
Increasing numbers of butterflies, bees and songbirds?
and what else…?
Remember it’s not just you doing this
What small steps do we need to take now to help make that a reality?
This time next year, when you look back over the year, what might you have done to work towards that positive future? Remember it’s not just you doing this; there are many people taking these steps. We do this together.
